Secondary - Upleveling Engagement in Your Classroom: Using Kagan and CLRT to Support Learning and Behavior for All Students (3 Day Series)
Are you concerned that boys are 2-3 times more likely to be disciplined on your campus? Do you wonder how to help students who continually struggle?
Kagan Cooperative Learning is a content-free way to structure cooperation in your classroom in an efficient way. These structures and strategies transform group work into true collaboration!
CLRT stands for Culturally and Linguistically Responsive Teaching. Our sessions will focus on the CLRT area of Classroom Management and Movement. CLRT provides a lens with which to build skills to support student success in the academic setting and mainstream culture while affirming their individual attributes. Learn actionable strategies for supporting your students’ learning and behavior in a culturally responsive manner.
Applying Kagan and CLRT strategies allows you to more effectively respond to the needs of the boys in your classroom while also engaging all students more effectively, especially the ones who struggle!
