WJ-V Training - Teachers
Riverside has released new, updated versions of the Woodcock Johnson Assessments. All staff who may administer these assessments must be trained prior to testing with the new assessment, and the WJ-IV will no longer be used. The Tests of Achievement have changed significantly including moving to a fully digital platform for assessment, changes to specific subtests, and requirements surrounding the assessments.
As part of this training, teachers will learn how to navigate the new assessment, how to determine which assessments to give, and how to interpret scores. Training will also include writing up explanations of the assessment in parent-friendly language and comparing standardized scores to data obtained from observations, interviews, and record reviews.
