In this session, we will explore equitable and effective assessment practices in mathematics using our adopted Imagine Learning curriculum, grounded in current research and the California Math Framework. Together, we will examine how program components connect to our standards-based grading system and report card to ensure consistency and clarity. Participants will analyze student work samples from the first trimester using standards-aligned rubrics, reflecting on ways to accurately assess progress and equitably communicate learning outcomes with students and caregivers. Special attention will be given to strategies that address the unique needs of Title I school communities and promote access to grade-level mathematics for all learners.
