Wed, Jan 28, 2026, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM PST
Room 1 (District Office), 25631 Peter A. Hartman Way, Mission Viejo, CA, United States Map
Understanding text structure is key to helping elementary students become stronger readers and writers. In this session, teachers will explore the most common organizational patterns—such as sequence, compare/contrast, cause/effect, problem/solution, and description—and learn practical strategies to explicitly teach them in the classroom. Participants will explore the connections in text structure between reading and writing, and how to support writing planning.
